Mark Dosen - President

Mr. Dosen has spent most of his life as an active resident of Broadview Heights. He and his wife, Marilyn, have three children: Alexandra (2011 BBHHS Graduate), Derek (2013 BBHHS Graduate) and Dana (2017 BBHHS Graduate). Mr. Dosen is also a graduate of BBHHS and has earned a Bachelor of Science in Computer and Information Science with a minor in Accounting at Cleveland State University. He spent his career in the Information Technology field mostly specializing in database technology for Accenture, a global management consulting, technology services and outsourcing company. He is an active member of Saint Basil The Great Catholic Church and has been involved with our community for many years as a coach and volunteer. His term expires on December 31, 2023.

Ellen Kramer - Vice President

Ellen Kramer was elected to the Brecksville-Broadview Heights Board of Education in 2017.  Ellen has lived in Brecksville with her husband and three children, Luke, Mia and Peter, since 2006.  A partner at a Cleveland law firm, specializing in business and consumer litigation, Ellen also has been a volunteer attorney for the Legal Aid Society of Cleveland for more than a decade.  She also has worked in a wide variety of roles with the PSOs at Chippewa Elementary School, Central School and the Middle School.

Lisa Galek

Lisa Galek joins the Board of Education in 2024 with a significant level of involvement over the years in our school district. Mrs. Galek has been actively involved in the Parent School Organization at the executive board level and the building level for many years, having served as Fundraising Chair and Treasurer at the Elementary School and Treasurer at the Elementary School. She has served as Publicity Chair for the Band Boosters and was very involved in the successful passage of the 2017 Levy and 2018 Bond campaigns. In the community, she has volunteered with Girl Scouts, has served on the Broadview Heights Charter Review Commission, and is an alumnus of the Brecksville-Broadview Heights Preschool Mother’s Club. In her professional endeavors, Mrs. Galek has worked in the communications industry as a writer and editor, spending time at American Greetings and, most recently, beginning her own freelance writing business in 2020. She holds a bachelor’s degree in English from Baldwin-Wallace University and a master’s degree in religious studies from John Carroll University. Mrs. Galek has three children enrolled in the district, Elizabeth (Class of 2026), Gwendolyn (Class of 2029), and Penelope (Class of 2032).



Tish Kwiatkowski

Tish Kwiatkowski took office in January 2022 and has been involved in a variety of volunteer capacities, including membership on the BBHHS PSO, the BBHMS PSO and past member of the Highland Drive Elementary PSO. In her professional capacity, she works in the Office of Special Education for the Akron Public Schools as a Special Education Consultant with varied roles that include management of the autism programming, supervising the OT and PT department and oversight of the district’s requirements for the Ohio Medicaid School program. She holds a Bachelor of Science (BS) and Advanced Master of Science (MS) in Occupational Therapy from Eastern Michigan University, as well as a certificate as an Autism Specialist (ACAS) with the International Board of Credentialing and Continuing Education Standards. Tish is married to Kevin, and has three children: Joshua (Class of 2021), Taylor (Class of 2022) and Sara (Class or 2026).

Eva O’Mara

Eva O’Mara joins the Brecksville-Broadview Heights City Schools as a past member of its teaching and administrative staff. Having retired in 2019, she taught at every level in the BBHCSD as an art teacher and finished her career as the principal of Highland Drive Elementary School. She had served as an assistant principal at the High School and Middle School as well. In total, Eva O’Mara provides 48 years of experience in education, including more than 35 years in our school district, to her capacity as a Board Member in our district, and is excited to begin her role in this new capacity with the Brecksville-Broadview Heights City Schools. During her expansive career, she has been awarded the Northeast Ohio Education Association’s Educator of the Year Award, and the PSO Friend of Education Award, among other honors. She holds a bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree from Baldwin-Wallace University. In her spare time, she has been involved in many volunteer organizations and efforts, including the Yuletide Hunger initiative.
