Authorized Users Only
Students and staff members with network accounts on the Brecksville-Broadview Heights City Schools network may use this interface to access files on their Home (H:) drives. Begin by selecting the server you'd like to access. You will be prompted for your username and password.
Once logged in, a list of files and folders on your H: drive will be displayed.
Clicking on a filename will let you download or open the file. You can also drag it from the list to your desktop. Using the drop-down menu at the top, you can create folders and upload files.
The tool does not work like a regular network drive. You can't open files and then save them directly back to the server. But you can copy them to your computer, edit and save them, and then upload them back to the server, where they'll be available on your H: drive when you return to school.
This tool is available to everyone who has a network account. It's a great way to transfer files back and forth between school and home without carrying disks around.
- This tool DOES NOT provide access to shared drives, due to security and accountability concerns. You can only access your home directory.
This tool MAY NOT WORK for people with very long usernames. It has been tested with usernames up to 15 characters. If your username is longer than that, you may have problems accessing your files.
